If you are interested in learning how to cut quilt squares to help out our quilters, there will be a sign up sheet on the bulletin board. This will be a "class" held during the day, most likely on a Tuesday. A tentative date is Tuesday, March 20th from 10:00-noon. If there is enough interest, a second Saturday "class" is a possibility.
If anyone in the congregation has any of the following items they would be willing to let us borrow, please let Lynn Johnk know. Please put your name on the item(s) so they can be returned to you.
1. Rotary cutters
2 Cutting mats
3. 6 1/2" x 24" ruler or "square" ruler (the ones shaped like an "L").
4. 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" ruler or approximate size.
5. Fabric you are willing to donate. I have fabric I will be donating to get us started.
My prayer is that quilt making doesn't become a dying art in our church. I can even teach you how to sew the squares together in another "class". No previous sewing ability needed!!!!
Any questions please email or call the church office. email@example.com.
The quilting group meet the 3rd Tuesday of the month in the fellowship hall from 10 am - 2 pm for quilting and fellowship! The quilting co-leaders are Lorraine Edwards and Elsa Nerby. As you know it’s not just the ladies that make beautiful quilts, men do it also!
Would you like to help the Quilters out? There is a couple baskets in the Narthex that have material in them. Take some home and cut into 6 ½ or 8 ½ inch squares and return the squares to the empty basket! It’s that simple!!! Any “extra” material that you might have laying around at home could also be donated.
YARN! YARN! YARN! YARN! If anyone is interested in making Prayer Shawls or blankets there is an amazing supply of yarn in the storage room across from the preschool Sunday school room. Please check it out!
If you would like to join please contact the church office at 201-789-7259 or firstname.lastname@example.org
